Seen yesterday at a vintage rally.
We don’t have huge American pickups here so you wouldn’t normally see anything like this on the road.
So, what kind of impact did it have on passers-by? Was it:
(a) considerable excitement at finding such an unusual thing
(b) mild interest
(c) no impact whatsoever?
EDIT: I’m afraid it’s bad news for pickup fans - the answer is (c). Apart from the guy videoing everything people just passed it by as if it wasn’t there.
We don’t do pickups.

It would be rather an oddball here in the States as well, but for different reasons. Namely, the fact that it’s a short cab, medium bed *dually*. Very, very odd by US standards - very few sell in a dually without at least an extended cab. The aluminum diamond-plate is also rather odd.

Judging by Mr. Redhat taking what looks like a video, I say A.

There was a lady at work that DD’d a short bed single cab dually.

So weird. “HI, I APPARENTLY TRANSPORT WEIGHTLIFTING EQUIPMENT FOR A LIVING”.

Near the house of my girlfriend there is one exactly luke this, however it is white with blue stripes. Oh and the owner put a garden shed in the bed, as some kind of camper body...
(I will take a picture next time I see it, every time I saw it up to now I was either driving or it was dark)

Also no equipment to hook up a trailer of any sort.

Nope! Apart from him that is and he was videoing everything.

Must really just like having extra tires. Or the literally-transporting-cast-iron thing.

I am going to guess B.
Were those sold new where you are? I see a few details (mainly lighting) that appear to meet local legal regulations. When I visited France I couldn’t believe how many Dodge Ram 1500s I saw. I didn’t see anything larger like this though.

One thing that amazed me about American trucks in Europe is that they all seem to be Rams for some reason. Every time I go over to Europe I see a few Rams but never an F150 or Silverado.

Bags of ball bearings, dead rats, and 1976 Chevy left brake drums.

Exactly, Rams were about it. Although I did see a F-350 at a small used car lot in France. I was sort of freaking out, nobody else in the car understood why it mattered. How in the hell did that get HERE?

Never. They’re lhd for a start.

That’s gotta be the widest thing on the road. I couldn’t imagine driving it anywhere in the EU. I dislike driving full size trucks in the US.

I knew a guy that bought a short-bed single-cab dually for his daily driver. We tried to talk him out of it, but he came up with every excuse in the book as to why he needed one. It had something to do with horses and trailers, despite him not owning a horse or a trailer or a house or any land on which to put a horse, trailer, or house.
He just wanted a dually, everything else be damned.

A farm machinery dealer near me has an F150 as a personal vehicle.

It would be fine in most of the Nordic Countryside, and I’ve seen quite a few there. It’s about the width of a 7.5T truck, which although sizable is only an issue on the very smallest lanes.

Let your freak flag fly I guess.

I’m going with b. Now if this was Finland it would be something in between b and c since you tend to see at least one full size American pickup on most days. Single cab dually is pretty unusual though.
